Gwen Webber-McLeod, MS, principal of "Gwen Webber-McLeod, Inspiring People to New Levels of Leadership", is a leadership development consultant with a passion for supporting leaders in effectively leading and managing organizations. Her clients are established and emerging leaders in public, private, educational organizations and businesses.
A cum laude graduate of Potsdam University, with a MS in Management from Keuka College, she has extensive professional experience in both owning her own businesses, and as: Director of Communications for Wells College; Communications/Development director of the Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council; Executive Director of the National Women’s Hall of Fame; Executive Director of the Booker T. Washington Community Center, and Coordinator of Human Services for the Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency.
Gwen has a very active civic life and takes great pride in serving on boards of directors that enhance and improve the lives of people at the local, state, and national level. She is actively involved with Planned Parenthood of the Rochester/Syracuse Region, the Central NY Women’s Fund, Community Health Fellows Leadership Project, and is National Co-chair of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Social Marketing Advisory Resource Team.
As past Board Chair and Interim CEO of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, she led efforts to refocus and reenergize the work and reputation of the Chamber in the community.
Gwen is an advocate in the public arena for the positive development of girls and women, and is a founding Board member of Friends of Women’s Rights National Park, and coach/consultant for Authentic Leadership for Women.
Gwen has received many awards during her career, most recently the 2004 New York State Senate "Woman of Distinction Award".
She resides in Auburn, New York with her husband Tracy and their three children Andrew, Ashley and Travis. She enjoys fitness, fine arts dance, and inspiring people to lead calm and successful personal and professional lives. She attributes her success to her loving family, serving her community, and to working daily just to be an all around good person. |
